Challenge

Moonfire Ventures, founded by former Atomico partner and co-founder Mattias Ljungman, launched in 2021 to close the funding gap for Europe’s pre-seed and seed-stage startups. Two years later, when the funding ecosystem had very much contracted, Moonfire tasked Burlington with launching its second fund and amplifying everything the fund had achieved so far.

Action

To help Moonfire stand out, Burlington crafted a release focusing on the fund’s AI-first approach, leveraging its expertise as a VC with proprietary technology at its core. We scheduled strategic interviews with Matthias with leading tech and business publications to help drive home Moonfire’s expertise and leadership in early-stage seed investing and crafted country-specific pitches to engage journalists in Moonfire’s target markets.

Result

This led to widespread positive coverage of the fund launch including in TechCrunch, Financial Times, Reuters, Sifted, Fortune, DI, Breakit, The Telegraph and more. Burlington also secured follow-up interviews with CNBC and Bloomberg, helping Moonfire build media relationships to support future portfolio and team announcements.
